We come to you. At QLS we understand that your home environment is the most important space and where most recommendations will be taking place. That's why we will travel to you and work within your own environment. All services are covid compliant. 

A home assessment can be completed to ensure your home remains safe for you by organising home modifications recommended by an Occupational Therapist. This could be a simple / standard grab rail or major bathroom modification or ramp. We can also assist with bidets, stair lifts and platform step installations. 

Assessments can be completed to determine suitability for a range of equipment. Commode chairs, Bath boards, Shower Stools, Hi-Lo Electric beds, Mattresses (low and high level care), Bed Accessories, Adaptive Kitchen Aids, Electric Recliner Chairs and Basic Seating to suit your needs

Assessments and trials are completed within the intended use environment with a suitable equipment supplier to discuss your options and suitability for a Mobility Scooter. Information can also be provided regarding road rules and recommended insurances. 

Assessments are undertaken in the environment the wheelchair will be used and will either be completed by the OT alone, or with a selected specialised wheelchair supplier who will bring out several options to trial that could be customised to meet your needs and goals. 

Assessments are undertaken to provide further education and recommendations for specialised equipment to help prevent, treat or reduce the risk of pressure sores. From cushions to air alternating mattresses or a referral to a suitable wound specialist to assist further. 

Assessments are completed to determine the most suitable option depending on your level of function, home environment and carer needs. Hoists can range from portable to gantry or ceiling depending on your environment. 

Assessments and referrals can be made to a suitable provider for an in home or community personal alarm. We can also make recommendations for falls detection devices and other assistive technology to ensure you or your loved one is safe.

Assessments are completed to ensure your home environment is safe for you and to reduce your risk of falls and further injury. This can include removal of mats, unneeded furniture or use of equipment such as hip protectors and crash mats.
